Get Set to be Dazzled by these Power Packed Smartphones in April
BENGALURU: With the conclusion of the WMC in Barcelona in February, the gizmo-buzz has died down a little. But not for long, as major vendors are all set to launch a set of spec-heavy phones in April. Here we look at the 10 most awaited phones since the Mobile World Congress:
Oppo R9 and R9 Plus
Scheduled to be launched in the Indian markets on the 5th of April, both the phones share the same design but differ in specifications. The R9 has a Full HD AMOLED 5.5-inch display. It is powered by MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with four of its Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, the other four at 1.0GHz. It has a 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128 GB, with a RAM speed of 4GB. It also boasts a 16MP selfie camera and a 13MP rear wide view camera. On the other hand, The R9 Plus ups the ante in several key areas. The obvious one, meriting the Plus moniker, is 6-inch display, again FullHD AMOLED. Running on the Snapdragon 652, it has quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A72's and quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53's. It has 16MP front snapper similar to the R9 but the rear camera is 16MP instead of the 13MP in the R9. Thanks to the more powerful chipset, the R9 Plus is capable of 4K video recording, unlike the R9.
