Intex rolls out new Intex Cloud Gem+ with 3G, Android Lollipop OS


BENGALURU:  Subsequently after the launch of Intex Cloud Jewel at RS.5, 999, Intex Technologies is back to the market with another smartphone under its Cloud series. The newfangled smartphone, which is named as Intex Cloud Gem+ is showcased on the company’s website for 3, 299, hailing to answer the prayers of them hoarder folks who want save a few bucks. Let’s break the ice even harder–the smartphone is available for purchase exclusively from Snapdeal at a discounted price of Rs 2,999. The smartphone comes in White and Black colors.

The Intex Cloud Gem+ sports a 4-inch display that is guarded by Gorilla Glass 3 protection under which lies a TFT-LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and a pixel density of 240 ppi, and a capacitive touchscreen keypad. The powerhouse inside the phone embodies a 1.3 GHz quad-Core 32bit Mediatek MT6580M Chipset- processor which is paired with 512MB DDR2 RAM and Mali400 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes packed with a 1400 mAh Lithium ion battery, which claims to offer up-to 4 hours of talk-time and up-to 200 hours standby time. The battery is removable type.

The Intex Cloud Gem+ features a 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by up-to 32GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone offers a 2-megapixel camera in rear as well as on front panel. The rear camera offers an LED flash, F2.8 Aperture, 4:3 Aspect Ratio, Auto-focus, and GC2509 Sensor.

Moreover, the device offers Dual SIM, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ AGPS/ GLONASS, a micro USB 2.0 port, Gravity Sensor, Smart gesture, proximity sensor and double tap wake up. It also sports a Radio, the media player supports formats viz. MIDI, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and AMR. The video player supports formats such as MP4, 3gp, mkv, mpeg4, and avi.

With so many features one wouldn’t mind paying such a small price for a power packed phone, but the downside is that it lacks image stabilizer for the camera, and on the connectivity front, it lacks HDMI, NFC and DLNA.
