SI Review: Blackberry Leap

Camera on the Blackberry leap

# Camera And Performance

On a day to day basis, the Blackberry Leap seems to lag a little with visible breaks in between when launching and shifting between the apps. Some of the OS animations adds on the slow performance of the phone where changing through the interface and using the Hub or other small apps didn't give any problems.

The phone’s battery returned about 7 hours and 19 minutes on the video loop test which is quite decent. The Call quality was excellent and the camera performed fairly enough which is guaranteed to take good casual pictures. There’s very little noise and compression with the frames being a problem when the pictures are in motion. The night shots were good enough and the video taken at 720p by default shows off some good detail but is a little shaky.

# Finally…. The Verdict

The pricing stands as a major competition to the BlackBerry Leap compared to other Android devices in the same range. This is a phone that would be a great buy for people who really prefer and like Blackberry services and their handsets.
