SI Review: Blackberry Leap

Blackberry leap Software

# Spec Sheet and Software

When we compare the phone to its look alike, the first thing we see is that the display is much better on the leap  where the text appeared to be crisp enough and colours pope  nicely without being too much making it pleasing to the eyes. On the specs, the Blackberry is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 plus processor which is quite old now but yet powerful compared to other phones in the market.

The rest on the phone is quite updated with the latest components consisting of 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB. On the connectivity front, it packs in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 where the 4G LTE is not supported on the 2300MHz Indian band. A 2800 mAh battery powers the phone and is equipped with sensors like proximity and accelerometer too.

According to Blackberry, the platform holds good because of its software and services, as it is the only company to gain control over its operating system after Apple. The BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 on the other hand comes with loads of neat tricks where it runs most of the Android apps and has a central communications hub that lets you see the messages and respond to them quickly.
