OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch its first-ever Turbo series smartphones next month, following the recent release of the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R. The Turbo series will include the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, which are expected to debut in China on January 8. Rumours suggest that these devices will arrive in India under the Nord 6 series branding, with the Turbo 6V likely launching as the Nord CE 6.
Earlier leaks had hinted at the design of a OnePlus Turbo device, and recent official images suggest that the leaked phone was the Turbo 6V. The Turbo 6 follows OnePlus’s new design language seen in the OnePlus 15, featuring a square camera module, a flat rear panel, and a plastic frame. Both Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V share similar designs, with slight differences in the camera modules. The Turbo 6 will come in black, silver, and green, while the Turbo 6V will be available in black, blue, and white. The Turbo 6 also carries multiple dust and water resistance ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
In terms of performance, the Turbo 6 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, while the Turbo 6V will run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Battery life is a major focus for the series, with both models featuring massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon batteries and 80W fast charging support.
The camera setups for both devices are expected to be identical, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The displays will differ slightly, with the Turbo 6 offering a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, and the Turbo 6V featuring a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus has announced that the Turbo series will launch in China at 7 pm local time on January 8, which corresponds to 6:30 am IST. In India, the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are expected to arrive as the Nord 6 and Nord CE 6, offering mid-range users a combination of strong performance, high-refresh displays, long-lasting batteries, and durable designs. The new series highlights OnePlus’s continued focus on innovation and expansion in both domestic and international markets.
