Lumia 820’s 8MP camera is pretty good for capturing candid shots both indoors and outdoors with its PureView branding. The front camera is good for video chats in 1080p at 30 fps, but frankly, better cameras with resolution can be seen on Android phones in this range.
On the other hand, the 13MP camera of Xperia ZL does an excellent job by giving more commendable shots and the Auto mode feature picks the appropriate setting to capture even in low light. The front camera is 2.1MP similar to any other handsets.

The Lumia 820 is retailed at a price of 27, 559. Users would preferably buy it only because it withstands falls.
Even though ZL is a grade lower than Xperia Z, it doesn’t have a much of a difference in terms of price. The ZL is priced 2,000 less than Xperia Z, around 36, 990.
