iPhone 5: Hits and Misses
LTE (Long Term Evolution) and Lightning Connector
One of the biggest rumors doing the rounds about the new iPhone 5 was that it would come equipped with LTE. And on the day when it was released this rumor was confirmed and LTE on the phone was a reality and no longer a rumor. iPhone 5 is the first iPhone from Apple that comes with LTE connectivity.
In the USA the LTE is going to work on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint networks and it will also be available across some other networks around the world.
Along with LTE connectivity, iPhone 5 comes with Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. LTE connectivity isn’t available in all countries, only in select regions. With LTE one can browse the internet at lightning speed.
Lightning Connector:
The new connect which has replaced the old pin dock connector is much smaller and is called Lightning connector. A unique feature of this port is that however you put in the connector it will always be correct, which is such a relief.
