Off late all the smartphones that are making their way into the market are sleek. It was about time that Apple too designed an iPhone which was slimmer than their previous editions. This time with the iPhone5 Apple was able to do just that as it introduced a lot of new technologies into the handset. The new iPhone5 has shed a bit and become slimmer by a few millimeters.

Along with being slimmer the new smartphone from Apple is also lighter and it weighs less than 396 grams. The Apple Website even went on to state that the iPhone 5 is the slimmest phone, but that isn’t the case, though it is one among the slimmest smartphones in the market currently.

To get a better idea about the new iPhone we can compare it to its predecessor; the iPhone 4S. The iPhone5 is made from anodised aluminum and glass which actually makes the phone around 20 percent lighter and 18 percent thinner than its predecessor.
