From China with love: 10 Xiaomi smartphones in India

# Xiaomi Redmi 1S

The Redmi 1S is a dual SIM phone that uses standard SIM and has a 4.7 inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 mobile chipset. The phone has 1GB RAM and internal storage of 8 GB. The part that will make multimedia enthusiasts jump with joy is the fact that Redmi 1S gives you an expandable storage option up to 64 GB.

It runs on a version of MIUI based on Android 4.3 Jellybean. Redmi 1S has a feature called the ‘Light Mode’ which gives the UI a simple look. The icons are bigger in this view and the phone almost turns into a feature mode. The device gets its juice from a 2000 mAh battery which is perfect for the price.

# Xiaomi Mi4

This phone from Xiaomi is expected to be released in India sometime by the end of this year. The Xiaomi Mi 4 has a full HD 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 441ppi. It runs on the latest Android 4.4 operating system and comes with MIUI user interface on top. On the hardware side, the phone comes with a Qualcomm snapdragon quad-core processor clocking a speed of 2.5GHz along with a 3GB of RAM.

Pictures can be clicked by a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a front facing secondary camera with an 8MP sensor in it. Connectivity features available in Xiaomi Mi4 include Bluetooth 4.0, 4G, 3G and Wi-Fi. There will be two versions storage options available on the phone, 16GB and 32GB.
