Hybrids

With the advancement of technology we are noticing a new breed of gadgets that are popping up. We saw a lot of the new age gadgets at the IFA 2012. The combination of laptops and tablets, they are fondly called Hybrids. HP, Toshiba, Dell and Sony were the biggies who launched hybrids at the event.

6. HP Envy X2 Hybrid

Envy X2 super thin and sleek is the hybrid gadget from HP. The device comes with a detachable keyboard hence it becomes a tablet once the keypad is separated. The device comes with an 11.6 inch IPS touch screen accompanied with a resolution of 1366 X 768 pixels. Envy X2 functions on Windows 8 and has an 8 mega pixel HD web camera and NFC connectivity. The gadget comes in two memory variants 32 GB and 64 GB. The device promises to deliver 10 hour battery life.

7. Toshiba Satellite tablet notebook

With everyone jumping on to the hybrid bandwagon, Toshiba weren’t the ones to be left out of the race and at IFA they also released their Satellite U295t laptop-tablet hybrid. This like the other hybrids also runs on Widows 8. The device will feature a 12.5 inch Gorilla Glass touch screen and it comes with a full sized slide out keyboard which also features backlit keys. The tablet-notebook is powered by an Intel i5 core processor. The company hasn’t yet revealed the specifications of the memory.

 If rumors are to be believed the hybrid will be priced at 55,000.
