4. Samsung ATIV S Windows Phone
It was not Nokia that launched the world’s first Windows Phone 8 but Samsung instead. They have named the device Ativ S. The smartphone comes with a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It also has an 8 mega pixel rear camera with a LED flash and a 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera which would allow the users to make video calls as well. The smartphone comes in two memory variants; 16 GB and 32 GB. The phones also have a slot for a microSD card which allows the user to expand the memory up to 32 GB as well. Ativ S is also powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and backed by 1 GB of RAM.
5. LG Optimus L9
With the Optimus L9 LG added another member to its L series. Even the design of the new smartphone is in keeping with its predecessors. The device comes with a 4.7 inch IPS touch screen and it will be powered with a 1 GHz Dual Core Processor. The smartphone will operate on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. L9 comes with an internal memory of 4GB and is backed by a 2,150 mAh SiO+ battery.
The phone comes with apps like QTranslator, My Style Keypad and QMemo. The ATranslator app reads words, phrases and entire sentences in 44 languages and then can translate them into 64 languages.
The smartphone has a square design to it that makes holding it and typing messages on it easy.
