Lenovo to Launch K4 Note Early Next January

sdBENGALURU: Lenovo, after the success of its K3 Note, the company now is planning to launch K4 Note in first week of January 2016, which will also be a budget blaster like its predecessor. The company has been teasing the handset on social media for a while under "A New Age Dawns" tagline and "#KillerNote" hashtag, according to ndtv.com.

The K4 Note will be the successor to the K3 Note which was launched in India back in June 2015. Details about the K4 Note are all but scarce at the moment. That being said, the teaser image suggests the phone will sport a metal frame. Whether or not it would be a full metal body phone is yet to be seen. Note that the K3 Note was all plastic.

The K4 Note, even if it has a metal frame - will certainly be a good upgrade over its predecessor.  Also, the company sells the K3 Note at 9,999. It will be interesting to see how Lenovo prices the K4 Note. Lenovo K3 Note sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS (1920x1080p) display. Powered by a 1,7GHz 64-bit MediaTek octa-core processor, MALI T760 GPU and 2GB RAM, the phone comes with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB.

The K3 Note runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. In terms of connectivity options, the K3 Note supports both FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) & TDD 2300MHz (Band 40) 4G LTE bands in addition to 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The phone is a dual-sim device with the second sim card slot offering support for 2G. It comes with a replaceable 3000mAh battery.
