Xiaomi's 'Made in India' Redmi Note Prime Launched


BANGALORE: Finally, Xiaomi schedules to launch the second ‘Made in India’ device this week. Redmi Note Prime, the better variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note makes its debut in Indian market from 14th December. The phone will be sold exclusively on Amazon India and the company’s official website, reports NDTV.

The Redmi 2 Prime was the first handset to be manufactured in Indian base situated at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The novel Redmi Note Prime will also be produced at the same warehouse with the partnership of Foxconn. The phone will carry a price tag of 8,499 and it competes against the Lenovo K3 Note.

The new Redmi Note Prime still runs on MIUI 7 that is based on Android 4.4 Kitkat. The handset sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD resolution and houses a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.  The phone features 2GB of RAM and 16GB on-board storage memory with an option of expansion up to 32GB.

On the camera front, Redmi Note Prime features a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone packs in a huge 3,100mAh battery to power the device.
