2. Panasonic Viera Connect

The look and feel of the Viera Connect has been retained, only a few features have been added to it like internet browsing, multi tasking capability and a touch pad remote.

HomeScreen User Interface: Like the LG smart TV, Viera also has a HomeScreen which displays all the features and apps available in the TV. The HomeScreen has a live video window which is surrounded by up to seven apps and at the lower right hand corner of the screen keeps track of the current HomeScreen.

Multi-tasking and Touchpad Remote: Panasonic has a multi-tasking support and a touchpad remote control but this remote only works for TH-P50VT50 and TH-L47WT50 TVs. The touchpad enhances the web browsing experience by providing the user with both cursor and page scrolling functions.

Social Network TV: Imagine watching the TV and having the live feeds from Facebook and Twitter scrolling at the bottom of the screen. So while watching TV you know what is happening on your social network site and at any moment you can switch from the TV programme to your Twitter or Facebook profile.

Customization Options: The smart TV also provides you with the option of customizing your HomeScreen. This means you can rearrange your apps according to your wish and you can hide the apps you don’t use all that much. You can also put in passwords for your apps so that only you can access them.
