7. My Pad and Yup for 5,000

These two cheap tablets are marketed in India by Mangal Electronics. My Pad has a 7-inch screen, runs on Android 2.3.1 and comes with various screen size and specifications; the Yup is a 10.2-inche tablet running on Android 3.0 Platform which comes in two models-chrome and Black with a shiny finish.  Both My Pad and Yup comes with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, eBook reader, built-in GPS and also sports built-in front and back camera. The high-end models of the both the tablets are powered by 1GHz built-in processor and comes with 3G/Wi-Fi connectivity option.

 

8. ATab for Students at 5,000

International education company AcrossWorld along with Delhi-based Go-Tech launched another low-cost tablet called ATabin for students. This Android tablets costs 5,000 and comes with 7-inch touchscreen, is powered by a 1.1 GHz processor, has 512MB of RAM and 2GB of inbuilt memory, expandable up to 16GB. The tablet is also Wi-Fi enabled and comes with an external 3G USB dongle.
