The Good: The Samsung Galaxy Pocket is a decent phone considering the features and the price point. The device has a good construction and decent specification to provide the experience of entry level Android smartphone.

The Bad: The smartphone has small screen size may be the Pocket in the name made it compact. Apart from that the major problem is with camera; it has an average camera without flash and no front facing camera.

The Bottom Line: Galaxy Pocket expresses the real meaning of low-end. This low-end phones is one best option to swift to smartphones from feature phones. The design of Galaxy Pocket goes well with its name as it is small enough to fit perfectly into any pocket. The body is made of plastic and therefore is lightweight.

Design: At the first glance it looks like mini Galaxy Y smartphone. It is a neat little handset which easily fits in your palm. It's constructed out of plastic, and has a comparatively light weight.

Like other Samsung devices you will find a rectangular home button below the screen, on the left hand side it has volume rocker, on right hand side you will see the power or screen lock button and on top it has 3.5 mm audio jack and USB connection for charging and data transfer.

Camera: The device comes with 2 mega pixel camera at the back. Don’t expect too much from this 2 mega pixel camera, the colors are bit dull. Unfortunately the videos can only capture at a maximum resolution of 320x240 pixels at 15 frames per second. The camera comes with normal setting as most Samsung handsets gets and has geo-tagging option.

Storage and Connectivity: The best part of this phone is the internal memory. It comes with 3 GB of built-in memory and can be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot. As far as connectivity it has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, microUSB and GPS.

Battery: It has standard Li-Ion1200 mAH battery which gives sufficient backup power. The company claims it will provide up to 17 hours of talk time on 2G and 5 hours 40 minutes of talk time on 3G and the stand-by time up to 800 hours on 2G and 500 hours on 3G.
