Saimdang is often referred as a model of Confucian ideals and her respectful nickname was ‘Eojin Eomeoni’, which means “Wise Mother.” Besides, Yinsun was the actual name of Shin Saimdang but she used to write under pennames like Saimdang, Inimdang and Imsajae.
