5. National Spot Exchange Limited (NSEL)
National Spot Exchange Ltd (NSEL) is an electronic commodity exchange and spot market, promoted by Financial Technologies (India) Ltd (FTIL) and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED).
NSEL performs single day trading contracts and intra-day trading with settlement of obligation on net basis. NSEl also provides loan facility against security of demat / warehouse receipt.
The motive of National Spot Exchange is to develop a general Indian market by setting up a nationally electronic spot market and providing state of art trading, delivery, and settlement services in various commodities.
6. NSEL e-Series products
It provides demat based investment products which one can invest in just like stocks and mutual funds. This is a distinctive market section and functions just like cash division in equities, and presents commodities in a demat form in small denominations. For example, if an investor is interested to invest in silver, he can buy e-silver from NSEL in minimum 100 grams denomination and multiples and it will be accessible for his demat account.
