Saudi Arabia is a nation headed by strong government that controls the economic activities with a large concentration of oil reserves. It possesses almost 18 percent of the world's proven petroleum reserves, considered as the largest exporter of petroleum, and also plays a leading role in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries). Oil accounts to more than 70 percent of government reserves and 95 percent of exports. The oil sector has helped the country to grow its economy at a rapid pace.
