Axis Bank and Fibe Partner to Launch India's First Numberless Credit Card
Axis Bank, one of the major private sector banks in India, has joined forces with Fibe (formerly EarlySalary), a prominent Indian fintech company, to introduce India's first-ever credit card without visible card numbers, expiry dates, or CVV codes on the card itself. This innovative approach enhances security by minimizing the risk of identity theft or unauthorized access to card details, ensuring customers' utmost privacy and protection. Customers can conveniently manage their Fibe Axis Bank Credit Card information through the Fibe app, giving them complete control. This co-branded credit card comes with an array of appealing features, including a flat 3% cashback on online food deliveries from various restaurant aggregators, local transportation services through leading ride-hailing apps, and entertainment purchases on online ticketing platforms. Additionally, customers can enjoy a 1% cashback on all online and offline transactions.
The card is backed by RuPay, enabling customers to link it with UPI. It's accepted both at physical retail stores and on various digital platforms, with the added convenience of a tap-and-pay feature. Additionally, it comes with a lifelong benefit of zero joining fees and zero annual fees. This card will be accessible to Fibe's existing customer base of over 2.1 million. Other perks of this card include access to four domestic airport lounges every quarter, a waiver for fuel surcharges on fuel expenses ranging from Rs 400 to Rs 5,000, as well as the advantages of Axis Dining Delights, Wednesday Delights, End of Season Sales, and RuPay portfolio offerings available across all their cards.
Speaking on this announcement, Sanjeev Moghe, President & Head - of Cards & Payments Axis Bank, said, “Axis Bank is a full suite cards & payments player, and we continue to build on innovation led partnership models. We are committed to driving access to formal credit in India with various offerings that benefit our customers.
