A magnetic stripe card is a type of card that stores data by modifying the magnetism of tiny iron-based magnetic particles on a band of magnetic material on the card. The magnetic stripe is also called swipe card or mag-strip.

The magnetic strip on the credit card holds all the information such as your name, card number and expiration date. It also consists of some personal and vital information like a personal identification number, country code or authorized amount. This information is encrypted on the magnetic strip will help the fraudsters to pick up the information from a device called skimmer and he can even create a fake from this information.
