In their growing years, new things attract them the most and so the fun of shopping everything they see around, spending everywhere they feel interested; and so as a parent you got to instill the saving behavior as early as possible to ripe the saving and proper budgeting attitude in a teenager. To instill the financial values you need not be strict or rigid, but be firm and follow fun rules. Maintain budget: The best way to teach them spending  in a controlled manner is to make out a budget plan for them. Or you can ask them to make a monthly or a weekly money-spending plan, according to their needs and time.

They can have their weekly-monthly allowance at the start of the month and have to maintain the spending within that for whole given period. If there is over- spending, don’t give them any extra unless needed utmost. This will not only help them maintain a healthy budget, but save them from over-spending.
