10 Things Worthy to Spend Money On
9. Networking
If the entire world is a ‘global village,’ then we all need to connect with the rest parts of the world. With advancements in the tech sector happening in leaps and bounds, staying in touch with friends and family is just a click away. From Facebook to Twitter, all apps are just a click away. Also, if you need to bond with friends and colleagues in a café, then do so. Don’t overindulge in these activities but engage yourself in them. You never know when a casual acquaintance ends up helping you big time. Try and keep your related finances also in place because you do not want unaccounted for money at the end of the month.
10. Lobbying
This pertains mostly to investments and seems like a growing sphere in India. Keeping the related controversies apart, lobbying is regarded as a good way to make big bucks. Still, compromising your integrity to earn money should never be on your agenda. Lobbying is a more accepted activity in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Canada, it is not so in our country. Amit Mitra, Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, quotes to The Wall Street Journal, India, “It is time for India to look at different global models on the question of lobbying.” He further says, “One needs to be registered to be a lobbyist in the absence of which lobbying will always remain an underground activity in India.”
