Anagha Gadgil, Technical Manager, Avaya India

Anagha Gadgil, is a Technical Manager with Interaction Center Product group with Avaya R&D. She has a total 11 years of experience. She completed her education in Bangalore and moved to Chennai for couple of years to start her IT career. Later she moved back to Bangalore and worked with IBM Software Labs for 7 years in various roles as team member, team lead, test architect to test manager. Currently she is managing a System Verification team of 19 Engineers in Avaya. She holds a certification in software testing and has contributed to various technical symposiums. She also has co-authored a paper on .Indian Women in IT. for WEPAN National conference. She has also mentored some of the School girls [9th and 10th STD] to encourage them to take up the technical career line.

 
Bharati Jacob, Managing Partner, Seedfund

Bharati Jacob, Managing Partner of Seedfund, has over 18 years of operating experience in diverse areas like financial planning and analysis, marketing research, investment banking and venture capital. Seedfund is India's only dedicated early-stage investment fund. Seedfund targets small, innovative startups with seed-stage funding and provides the mentoring and guidance needed to convert a business idea into reality. Bharati's entry into the venture capital arena began with Infinity Venture Fund, a $22 million technology fund, which has been one of the most successful early-stage funds of its time. Prior to Infinity, Bharati worked at Lazard Credit Capital where she was responsible for setting up operations in South India. In 2 short years, Lazard emerged as one of the leading investment banks in South India. Bharati graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She is a charter member of TiE and an active member of the TiE Women's Chapter.

 
Geetha Manjunath, Senior Research Scientist, HP Labs India

Geetha Manjunath is a Senior Research Scientist at HPLabs India. She has been with Hewlett Packard for approx 11 years as a researcher of the US and India labs. She has worked in cutting edge technologies starting from Embedded Java Virtual Machine, Embedded Web Middleware, Wireless access points Solutions, Grid Computing, Storage Virtualization and RFID Middleware infrastructure. Her current area of work is exploring use of SemanticWeb for Enterprise applications.Before joining HP, she was a senior technical member at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bangalore for 7 years - where she lead a research team to develop parallel compilers for distributed memory machines. She is a gold medalist from Indian Institute of Science where she did her Masters in Computer Science in 1991 and currently registered for the PhD program. She got the TR Shammanna Best Student award from Bangalore University in 1989. She holds four US patents with more pending grant.

 
Hema Mani, Manager- Human Resources, Honeywell

Hema Mani is currently the Manager- Human Resources in Honeywell and lead of the HR group for the Aerospace team in Honeywell Technology solutions. She has 13 years of HR experience and has worked in various consulting and Practice HR capacities with Kelly consultants, PriceWaterhouseCoopers & i2 Technologies before moving into Honeywell. Hema has been associated with the Jain Group of Institutions as an HR faculty and participated in building the Mahaveer Jain Entrepreneurship and Incubation centre. Also is associated as an active member of the National HRD forum and the National Institute of Personnel Management. In Honeywell she has had the experience of leading two of the major businesses namely Automation and control solutions and Aerospace in the capacity of a HR leader.

Jessie Paul, Chief Marketing Officer, Wipro Technologies

Jessie Paul has a decade of experience in services marketing and brand internationalization. She has been recognized for her contribution to putting the Indian IT Industry on the global map, and has been named one of the most influential business women in IT in India.

Jessie joined Wipro Technologies in 2005. In her role, she is responsible for further enhancing Wipro.s brand and ensuring a platform to win and engage customers through its domain-specific, IP-led technology and business solutions. She is also a member of Wipro Technologies. Strategy Council.
Prior to Wipro, Jessie spearheaded the marketing function for iGATE Global Solutions (NASDAQ: IGTE). She played a key role in rebranding and repositioning iGATE as an integrated technology and operations company.

Previously, as brand manager, Jessie was one of the early members of the marketing department at Infosys (NASDAQ: INFY), and helped put in place the marketing infrastructure and processes. Her efforts in this area earned her the Chairman's Award in 1998. She also spearheaded the Wharton Infosys Business Transformation Award, which was the recipient of the U.S.-based IT Services Marketing Association's Diamond Award in 2002.

Both Wipro Technologies and Infosys have been instrumental in building .Brand India. as we know it today. Jessie has also worked with Ogilvy and Mather Advertising, part of the WPP group, where she managed leading service brands.

She earned an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from REC Trichy.

 
Mangala Gowri, Research Scientist - India Research Labs, IBM

Mangala Gowri Nanda completed her B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1985, and then worked for two years designing bridges and buildings. Marriage and family responsibilities brought a five-year break in her career. She returned to school along with her younger daughter and in 1994 she graduated with an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Then at Tata Infotech Ltd, she worked on Interactive Voice Response systems and on automation of Y2K transformations. The call of academics sent her back to school and in 2001 she completed her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Her PhD dissertation was on static slicing of concurrent Java programs. She has since been working at IBM India Research Laboratory. At IRL she led a project in the Distributed Systems area. She is currently working in the Software Engineering and Productivity Tools group. Mangala Gowri's passion is research and her interests are in the areas of static analysis and web services.

 
Mrinalini Ingram, Senior Director, Finance, Globalization Center East, Cisco

Mrinalini Ingram helped to form the Globalization Center East, which works toward expanding Ciscos vision of globalization. She is currently working at creating a sustainable finance business model, and has also played a key role in creating a new revenue process and a global sales finance operations organization.

 
Nita Goyal, Co-Founder and VP, New Product Development, Tavant Technologies

Nita has 15 years of experience in the software industry as software developer, researcher, entrepreneur, engineering manager and product manager. She is at present with Tavant Technologies, a mid-size IT services company. She is also working with HeyMath!an Indian e-learning math company. Prior to Tavant, Nita was a Co-Founder of Exemplary Software, an enterprise software company. She has also been a researcher with Hewlett Packard Labs in Palo Alto. Nita has a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in the field of artificial intelligence and a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

 
Parvathi Menon, Senior Consultant, Erehwon Innovation Consulting

A Communication Professional with over 12 years of diversified experience including corporate training solutions, communication strategy, new media research and film production, Parvathi has been actively building her repertoire of skills. Transitioning from film and television production, to developing interactive media experiences for web-based applications, she has developed an expertise in interactive, performance-based solutions for global corporate clients. Sapna Maheswari,Developer, ThoughtWorks Technologies

Sapna Maheswari is a software developer with ThoughtWorks India, with about 4 years of experience in the IT industry. During her tenure at ThoughtWorks India, she has been exposed to a multitude of challenging opportunities ranging from building one of the most complex distributed enterprise applications to working with clients to enable and revolutionize their processes. She has conducted workshops, emphasizing the essence of object orientation, internally and in a few colleges in and around Bangalore. Presently, apart from the strong delivery focus, Sapna also provides for community representation in the Management Team.

Sharada Satrasala, Director, Texas Instruments India

Sharada Satrasala, Director, Strategic Supplier Management, Texas Instruments (TI) India has spent over 21 years in TI. Sharada passed her engineering in electronics and communication from Bangalore University with third rank in 1987. She joined TI soon after her graduation as a Software Engineer in a support project and later proceeded to become a developer, project leader, and finally the General Manager of the TI, India ASIC group. Sharada.s group was responsible for building the fastest 90-nanometer library in the world till then. Today Sharada, as a Director, Strategic Supplier Management is responsible for driving the processes, strategic engagements, and the relationships with both big and small suppliers that provide engineering services to TI worldwide.

 
Vasantha Erraguntla, Senior Engineering Manager,Bangalore Design Lab,Intel

Vasantha Erraguntla received a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, India and a Masters in Computer Engineering from University of Louisiana, Lafayette. She joined Intel in Oregon, USA in 1991 and worked on the high-speed router technology for the Intel Teraflop machine (ASCI Red). For over10 yrs, Vasantha was engaged in a variety of advanced prototype design activities at Intel Laboratories, implementing and validating research ideas in the areas of in high performance & low power circuits and high speed signaling. She relocated to India in June 2004 to start-up the Bangalore Design Lab to help facilitate world-class circuit research and prototype development. In that role, she led the efforts of the India team that participated in the design and development of the first programmable teraflop research processor. Vasantha has co-authored over 8 papers and has 3 patents issued and 4 pending. She is also a member of IEEE.

 
Vidya Nagaraj, Senior Director - Products & Services, Oracle

Vidya Nagaraj has 18 years of experience that spans various areas like Software Development, Technical Training, Instructional Design and Curriculum Development. Vidya is a Senior Director with the Oracle University, Products and Services group, at Oracle Corporation. Vidya was a part of the start-up team for the Oracle India Development Center.
