Venkat Mattela
Chairman and CEO, Redpine Signals
Mr. Mattela has over 25 years of engineering and management experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Redpine, Mr. Mattela was at Network Media Platforms Group of Analog Devices as Director and was responsible for the product, strategy and business development for media wireless connectivity solutions (WLAN, WMAN). He also led the VLSI development from concept engineering to release of multiple industry leading networking silicon products resulting in a multi-million dollar product line. Prior to joining ADI, Mr. Mattela was at Infineon Technologies as Director and was responsible for micro-architecture and design of TriCore MCU-DSP processor. He led the team to take the architecture to multiple silicon implementations. Mr. Mattela started his career at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India in January 1983 and held various engineering positions at LSI Logic, LMSI and CMC Ltd. Mr. Mattela has a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India and holds 11 US patents.
Sanjay Nayak

Sanjay is Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Tejas Networks, a leading optical networking product company from India. Mr. Nayak is a technologist with over 20 years of industry experience in India as well as the USA. Prior to Tejas, he held senior management position in globally leading Electronic Design Automation companies such as Synopsys (where he was the Managing Director of Synopsys-India) and earlier at Cadence Design Systems. Sanjay holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh and B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Dr. M.J. Zarabi
Co-founder & Chairman, Masamb Electronics Systems
Dr. M.J. Zarabi Co-founder of Masamb Electronics Systems, pioneered VLSI design and fabrication effort in India. He has, in fact, been synonymous with the microelectronics activity in India for more than three decades. He was the chairman and Managing Director of India&rsquot;s premier integrated chip manufacturing and R&D company, Semiconductor Complex Ltd. (SCL) from June 1993 to August 2005. Prior to that, he was the Head of Research & Development and later Executive Director in-charge of both R&D and VLSI manufacturing operations of the company. He launched and successfully led a number of technologies and product development projects which has led to the development of an indigenous capability to meet India&rsquot;s strategic requirements in the vital area of microelectronics. As SCL&rsquot;s Chairman & Managing Director, Dr. Zarabi was responsible in building a modern VLSI fabrication facility in 1997. Under his stewardship, SCL also established the only Gallium Arsenide Enabling Technology Centre to design and manufacture Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs). With his distinguished academic background and industry experience, he is currently advising a few companies of repute and is also on the Boards of Directors of a few other companies that include state owned ECIL & CEL. He is also Honorary Advisor to India Semiconductor Association.
Guru Ganesan
Managing Director, ARM-India Operations
Guru Ganesan took over as the Managing Director of ARM India in June 2009. Prior to that, he was Vice-President, Engineering at ARM, San Jose, California. In 2002, Ganesan relocated to India to set up the India operations of Artisan Components Inc. As Managing Director, Artisan-India, he was responsible for the company’s overall operations in India. In December 2004, Artisan was acquired by ARM, the world leader in semiconductor IP, and Ganesan continued as the Managing Director of ARM India. Prior to ARM and Artisan, Ganesan was Director of Engineering at Synopsys, Mountain View and his business unit was acquired by Artisan Components in January 2001. His earlier assignments were with Texas Instruments, Dallas; Cadence Design Systems, San Jose; and Hewlett-Packard, Cupertino. Ganesan started his career with Tata Consultancy Services after acquiring a master’s degree in engineering.

Vasantha Erraguntla
Technology Director, Intel India
Vasantha Erraguntla has been heading Intel Lab’s Bangalore Design Lab to facilitate world-class circuit research and silicon prototype development. She led the Bangalore team that co-delivered the design of the world’s first programmable Terascale processor and the 48–iA core Single-Chip Cloud Computer. She received 2 Intel Achievement Awards for these designs. Vasantha has co-authored over 13 IEEE journal and conference papers and holds 3 patents and 2 pending. She served on the organizing committee of the 2008 and 2009 International Symposium on Low Power Electronics and Design (ISLPED) and on the Technical Program Committee of ISLPED 2007, Asia Solid State Circuits Conference (A-SSCC) in 2008 and 2009. She is also a Technical Program Committee member for energy-efficient digital design for ISSCC 2010 and ISSCC 2011. She is also serving on the Organizing Committee for the VLSI Design Conference 2011.
Walden C. Rhines
CEO & Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mentor Graphics
He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation with revenue of $789 million in 2008. During his tenure at Mentor Graphics, revenue has more than doubled and Mentor has grown the industrys number one market share solutions in four of the ten largest product segments of the EDA industry. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments; Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TIs Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people. During his 21 years at TI, Rhines managed TIs thrust into digital signal processing and supervised that business from inception with the TMS 320 family of DSPs through growth to become the cornerstone of TIs semiconductor technology. He also supervised the development of the first TI speech synthesis devices (used in "Speak & Spell") and is co-inventor of the GaN blue-violet light emitting diode (now important for DVD players). He was President of TIs Data Systems Group and held numerous other semiconductor executive management positions. Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation and First Growth Family & Children Charities. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers; Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council, Lewis and Clark College and SEMATECH. Dr. Rhines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, a master of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an Honorary Doctor of Technology degree from Nottingham Trent University.
