Walden C. Rhines
CEO & Chairman, Mentor Graphics
Dr. Rhines, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people. Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation, Lewis and Clark College and the Portland Classic Wines Auction. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council and Sematech.
Dr. Aloknath De

Dr. De has more than 25 years of industrial and research experiences including the most recent one in ST-Ericsson where he was Director and Country Manager. He holds B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur; M.E. from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore; and Ph.D. from McGill University, Montreal. He is a recipient of ‘Alexander Graham Bell Prize’ in Canada and received IETE Memorial Awards in India. Dr. De has served as an Adjunct Professor with IIT-Delhi and also as an AICTE-INAE Distinguished Visiting Professor with IIT-Roorkee. He is a senior member of IEEE, and fellows of IE, IETE and INAE.
Sunil Thamaran

Sunil is a member of the executive team managing Cypress Semiconductors’ India site operations in Bangalore. He works as a senior business unit director and general manager for the asynchronous SRAM business unit, with responsibilities for strategy and execution to grow the company’s revenue and market share in the SRAM business. Sunil is a seasoned semiconductor executive with 22 years of industry experience with expertise in P&L management, product definition and development, strategy, business development, and marketing.

As an industry veteran, GD has more than 25 years of distinguished contribution to the VLSI domain, both as an entrepreneur and as an industry leader. He has been in ASIC design industry of Silicon Valley for close to two decades and has worked closely with world class semiconductor foundries. In his most recent role as managing director of the AMD R&D Center, India, GD managed a talented team of engineers who delivered leading-edge technologies for AMD’s graphics and consumer electronics businesses. He was also instrumental in establishing AMD’s "Centre of Excellence for Audio Technology." GD has been a serial entrepreneur, having established 8 successful companies like CuTe Solutions, VEDA IIT, QualCore Logic Ltd, Virtual IP Group Inc., Pacific Semiconductors Inc.
Radhakrishnan Pasirajan
VP of Silicon Engineering, Open-Silicon
Radhakrishnan, responsible for the silicon implementation to enable delivery of reliable parts with predictable schedule. He comes with more than 25 years of system design & ASIC design experience. He started his career as a Scientist in ISRO, India’s prestigious space research center, designing on-board navigation systems for Indian space vehicles. Later he worked at Wipro, Sun Microsystems, Toshiba and Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for ASIC architectural development and implementation leading to delivery of many successful ASICs and products. He joined Open-Silicon at an early stage of the company and he has made strong contributions to the Silicon Engineering BU in various roles. Radhakrishnan has an Honours Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, India.
K. Krishna Moorthy
Corporate Sr. Director & MD, India Design Center, Rambus Chip Technologies India
Krishna is the Corporate Sr. Director & MD of the India Design Center of Rambus, and is responsible for the complete operations of the design center. Prior to Rambus, he held the positions of, Director of Engineering and subsequently the MD of the India design Center of National Semiconductors, for 11 years from 2000. Earlier to that he was the head of one of the R&D divisions in the Mil – Aerospace vertical in Bharath electronics a, Defense PSU. He is credited to have designed the first ASIC in India in 1987 that went into volume production and used for many Secure Defense Communication systems. Have over 3 decades of experience in the electronics Industry, covering a wide spectrum of functions from Silicon design, System design, System engineering, and high performance IP design in deep sub micro processes.
Anitha Biddappa
Director, India Enterprise Systems & Technology Development, IBM Systems & Technology Group
Anitha has over 23 years of global experience in Semiconductor Research & Product Development across IBM, Intel & Lattice Semiconductor. Currently her IBM team drives programs across the entire stack of Semiconductor Technology development, EDA, ASIC & Custom IP solutions, Processor development, Enterprise Systems Engineering, Firmware & AIX development. She also led the SOC enabling group at Intel where she was instrumental in building end to end development capability for chipset products in 65nm/45nm technologies spread across multiple geographies. Her early experience was deeply technical where she held roles in R&D and helped architect & deliver a DFX strategic initiative at Lattice Semiconductor (USA) to enable > 30% TAT improvement of FPGA product development, working closely with world class foundries. Anitha received her B.E in Electronics from UVCE, Bangalore and MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Idaho, USA with research scholarship from NASA Microelectronic Research Center. She has served as Advisory council member for Anita Borg institute’s Grace Hopper conferences in India and is currently Executive sponsor for IBM STG Technical diversity program.
