He has been in ASIC design industry of Silicon Valley for close to two decades and has worked closely with world class semiconductor foundries. In his most recent role as managing director of the AMD R&D Center, India, GD managed a talented team of engineers who delivered leading-edge technologies for AMD’s graphics and consumer electronics businesses. He was also instrumental in establishing AMD’s "Centre of Excellence for Audio Technology." GD has been a serial entrepreneur, having established 8 successful companies like CuTe Solutions, VEDA IIT, QualCore Logic Ltd, Virtual IP Group Inc., Pacific Semiconductors Inc.

Dr. Walden C. Rhines

Dr. Rhines, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Rhines was Executive Vice President of Texas Instruments’ Semiconductor Group, sharing responsibility for TI’s Components Sector, and having direct responsibility for the entire semiconductor business with more than $5 billion of revenue and over 30,000 people. Rhines is currently in his fourth term as Chairman of the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. He is also a board member of the Semiconductor Research Corporation, Lewis and Clark College and the Portland Classic Wines Auction. He has previously served as chairman of the Semiconductor Technical Advisory Committee of the Department of Commerce, as an executive committee member of the board of directors of the Corporation for Open Systems and as a board member of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers Association (CBEMA), SEMI-Sematech/SISA, Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDAC), University of Michigan National Advisory Council and Sematech.
Dr. Ajith Pasqual

Ajith received his B.Sc. Engineering degree with First Class Honours from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering in 1993, M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Tokyo in Computer Vision in 1998 and 2001 respectively. Presently he serves as Head of Department of Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa as well as Director/Center for Information Technology Services at the University of Moratuwa. His primary research interests are in Computer Vision, Processor and SoC Architectures and he leads the Reconfigurable Digital Systems Research Group at the University of Moratuwa which work in the area of hardware acceleration, novel architectures for application specific processors and SoCs to improve performance and power efficiency. Since 2004, he has been focusing heavily on reconfigurable logic systems and their applications in Computer Vision, Mobile Communications, Networking and Biomedical Signal Processing. At present he is driving the initiative to create an IP Development and IC Design Industry in Sri Lanka.
Rajiv Kapur

Rajiv in Braodcom is responsible for all operations and business development in India. Prior to joining Broadcom, he was with LSI for almost 14 years. Rajiv was based in LSI’s internal ASIC Technology R&D organization at Milpitas, California before he moved to Bangalore as its country head in 2004. He grew the company India to a diverse setup across 3 cities and led his team on providing IP, Software CAD, Methodology, Libraries and Product integration. Rajiv holds a degree in B.E. (Hons.) Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an M.Sc. in Physics from BITS, Pilani. He also holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California. Rajiv has been issued 5 Patents by the US Patent Office mostly in Physical Design CAD algorithms.
