The Dreams of one’s future are conceived on the foundations of the past. Dhaneswar Rath Institute of Engineering & Management Studies (DRIEMS) owes its existence to the vision of Late Dhaneswar Rath after whom the Institution is named. It was established in the year 1999 by the dedicated, service minded philanthropists who had the missionary zeal of uplifting the new generation and equipping them as skilled technocrats to rebuild the society in a modern scientific way. The Institute initially started with five disciplines viz., Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering,

Information Technology & Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering but now it offers two new courses with the addition of Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering.

Placement:

There is a training and placementdepartment in the Institution. One senior faculty member in the position of Professor is heading the department and one faculty member of each department assists him. In addition, there are two Placement Officers. The head of placement cell invites HR representatives from various companies for the campus recruitment. Personality Development courses for pre-final and final year students are arranged, in order to prepare them for campus interviews. Aptitude tests are also conducted to train the students for competitive examinations unlike (GMAT, GRE, TOEFL etc). In-house training programmes are conducted by this placement and training department for the students.
