The Bengal College of Engineering and Technology was set up by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001 with an objective of imparting quality education in Engineering and Technology. The aim of the Bengal College of Engineering and Technology has been to maintain a liaison with the industries on one hand and the premier engineering institutions of the region (like the IIT {Kharagpur}, NIT {Durgapur}, CMERI { Central Mechanical Engineers Research Institute, Durgapur} , ISI {Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata}, Jadavpur University {Kolkata} ) on the other. The College is Approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE-New Delhi), under Ministry of HRD, the Govt. of India and is Affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).
