Rocketalk more popular than Facebook and Twitter

Bangalore: Rocketalk has emerged as a leader in the mobile social networking segment in India followed by Orkut and is way ahead of Facebook and Twitter. Being No.1 mobile social networking application, it has maintained a strongest audience engagement with over 350 million page views per month, reports a latest study on Mobile social networking and Indian mobile usage data released by Informate, a leading mobile analytics company. While Rocketalk reaches up to 7.8 percent of Indians on mobile, Orkut comes second at 7.3 percent and Queep at 4.7 percent. Facebook has a reach of 3.1 percent of Indians and Twitter ranked least at 1.4 percent. The results of the research capture actual mobile user behavior for the period of six months in India. The report has come out at a time when Airtel has announced that only 21 percent of mobile internet usage on its network comes from metros where both Facebook and Twitter are popular.
