Reliance buys 7.98% in TV 18

NEW DELHI: Television Eighteen (TV18) on Tuesday announced that Reliance Capital Mutual Fund has acquired 7.98 per cent stake in the TV18. With this fresh acquisition from the open market, Reliance Capital's total holding in TV18 now stands at 9.43 per cent.
TV18 stated that Reliance Vision Fund and Reliance Growth Fund, schemes of Reliance Capital Mutual Fund have purchased 9,70,000 shares of the total paid up capital of TV18 Ltd.
The date of acquisition is November 7, 2003 and the mode of acquisition is open market purchase. After acquisition, the Reliance holds 11,45,000 shares in TV18 Ltd.
