Muthoot, Jurong to set up IT technopolis at Kochi

Muthoot Pappachan Group, a leading, well-diversified corporate group from the state, has tied up with Jurong Infrastructure (India) to set up a state-of-the-art IT Technopolis at Kochi.

KOCHI:According to a report published in a leading business daily, Jurong, fully owned by Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) Singapore, will provide urban planning, architecture, engineering, quantity survey services, construction and post-construction operations management for the complex. The 2,60,000-square-feet project, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crore, will come up in the Cochin special economic zone (CSEZ) on the new Airport-Seaport expressway. The paper said Muthoot Pappachan Group is a Rs 1,000 crore corporate entity with interests in banking, financial services, hotel and tourism, inflight catering, ceramic ware manufacture and exports and infrastructure. Jurong played a major role in the construction of IT Parks and campuses like the Tech Park in Bangalore, Cyber Park (Hitech City Phase III), Hardware Park and ILABS Campus in Hyderabad etc. The IT Technopolis will be the first initiative of Jurong in the state. “Jurong’s vast experience in constructing software parks will ensure international standards and completion of the project within the stipulated time,” Mr Thomas Muthoot, Director, Muthoot Pappachan Group, was quoted as saying.
