ISA's executive council formally elected

BANGALORE: The India Semiconductor Association today announced the election of its executive council for the year 2005-06. The members of the apex body have re-elected Rajendra Kumar Khare, Managing Director, Broadcom India as Chairman, Dr.Anand Anandkumar, Managing Director, Magma Design Automation India as Vice-chairman, Uma Mahesh, Director Silicon Engineering & Operations, Insilica India as Secretary and V Veerappan, Co Founder & Vice President ? Operations, Tessolve India as Treasurer, respectively. The elected members of the executive council are: Dr.Bobby Mitra, Managing Director, Texas Instruments India, Vasudevan Murthy, Vice President and Head - VLSI/System Design Division Wipro Technologies, Dr. Madhusudan V Atre, Vice-president, Agere Systems India, S. Janakiraman, President & CEO (R&D Services), MindTree Consulting, and Satya Gupta, Vice President Engineering, Open Silicon India. Two other senior industry professionals - JAC Choudhary, CEO, Portal Player India and Samir Kumar, Managing Director, JumpStartUp have been co-opted as members to the board. Dr.Sridhar Mitta, Managing Director & CTO, e4e Labs India and Chief Mentor, ISA conducted the elections. Announcing the formal election, Dr.Sridhar Mitta, said,? The founding team has done a tremendous job of generating momentum so much so that I can say with assurance that ISA in its six months of existence has traversed far more than any industry association I know of. It is heartening that such acceleration and coordinated effort is happening at a time when the industry itself is witnessing a crescendo in terms of growth and its role.
