Hyderabad: Infotech Enterprises Ltd Friday announced that it has been awarded a three year contract to provide solutions in geographic information services (GIS) and data management services by Powercor Australia Ltd, one of the largest electricity distribution companies in Australia. "This reflects Powercor Australia's continued confidence in Infotech's abilities to deliver high-quality database management services. The company has been consistently meeting the aggressive performance criteria set down by Powercor Australia," said a statement by Hyderabad-based Infotech. The company, however, has not revealed the financial details of the contract. "This agreement strengthens and reinforces the successful, long-term relationship Infotech has enjoyed with Powercor Australia. We believe that we are providing tremendous value to Powercor Australia with our domain knowledge in GIS and data management," said Infotech chairman and managing director B.V.R. Mohan Reddy. "We have found Infotech to be an easy organisation to work with and the establishment of this longer term contract will make it easier to strengthen this relationship. The awarding of the three year contract continues the relationship established with Infotech in 2005," said Craig Hobbs, engineering manager of CitiPower & Powercor Australia. Infotech provides engineering services and GIS to manufacturing, aerospace, transportation, telecom, utilities and government customers worldwide.
