Chennai: The CEO Club, a global networking and learning forum exclusively for chief executive officers (CEOs), will open chapters in all major Indian cities and even in small towns, a top official of the organisation said here Wednesday. "Now we are present in Hyderabad and Chennai. Soon we will be opening chapters in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore," Hari K. Valurupalli, founder and chairman of the Indian arm, told the media here. Speaking about the club's activities, he said apart from being a networking platform for its members, the CEO Club will conduct seminars and conferences that would help the members. "There will be sector-wise CEO groups who can discuss issues faced by their industry. There will also be interactive sessions for members on latest business issues," he added. The club has signed up the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, as its education partner. "Much like cats, CEOs in general are independent-minded. The club would enable them to find and interact with people sharing a similar wave length," said Joe Mancuso, who founded CEO Club USA. "This is neither a social club nor an industry body. The club enables its members to learn while having fun in the form of holiday retreats, seminars and other activities," Valurupalli said. The membership is restricted to CEOs heading companies with a turnover of not less than 100 million. The membership fee ranges from 90,000 (yearly scheme) to 400,000 for life time. "The membership is for individuals and not for corporates," Valurupalli added.
