The 1994, French/English movie Leon, was a master crafted feature by Luc Besson. The male leads Jean Reno and Gary Oldman did absolute fabulous jobs as they usually do, but, the revelation was the 13 year old Natalie Portman. She, at that age, proved to be in the same league of the two veteran leads. This movie was remade by Guddu Dhanoa with Bobby Deol, Rani Mukerji, and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead spots. The movie was badly rewritten by Tinnu Verma, with a flashback scene that made absolutely no sense, and Deol and Mukerji delivering their worst performances ever. On a positive note, Ashish Vidyarthi did justice to the role of the antagonist. But one good performance does not make this a bearable movie.
