World's 10 Great Societies, India Missing

Japan:

Japan ranks fifth on the list of world’s great societies. It recorded for a GDP of 4,389 billion dollars in 2011. Japan scores 8 on 10 in terms of Economic Opportunity & Quality of Life (EOQL).

The personal disposable income of Japan has not risen as fast as the economy as a whole in many years, but the dramatic rise in the standard of living during the post-war period was marked by a narrowing of differentials between blue-collar and white-collar workers. Further, it is seen that majority of Japanese employees not only enjoy job security and access to a range of occupational benefits, but a very high standard of living as well.

Australia:

Australia takes the sixth position on the list. The recorded GDP of Australia was noted to be 918 billion dollars in 2011 and it scores 7 on 10 in terms of Economic Opportunity & Quality of Life.

Australia has one of the most prosperous economies in the world and this economic growth is also well reflected in the lifestyle of people. It also has a lot of migrants from other countries. The reason for this is the growing economy, the easy lifestyle and trouble-free immigration procedures.
