2) Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat is said to be the second planned city in India after Chandigarh. It lies on the west bank of the Sabarmati River which is 23km away from Ahmedabad, the biggest city of Gujarat. Ahmedabad is known for its multiplexes where the first multiplex of India, CityPlus, is located. The main attraction of Gandhinagar is the ‘Akshardham’ temple which is surrounded by beautiful green gardens and fountains. The other major attractions are Sabarmati Ashram, children’s park, Capital Complex, Sarita Udyan and the Craftsmen’s Village in the city.
