This movies was not meant to be Fashion movie, but is really made an impact in the Bollywood fashion. It was the first movie where costume designing was taken seriously. Urmila Matondkar who is the leading heroin in this movie looked stunning in Manish’s costumes. Manish Malhotra (costume designer of the movie) got recognized through this movie as he got the Filmfare’s first Costume Design Award.
Confessions of a Shopaholic:
‘The Girl in the Green Scarf’ character depicted in this film seems to be many women out there, who just love to shop and shop! The protagonist’s fashion sense used in this movie is wonderful and to be shopaholic became a good thing after this movie even though the film's message was not that.
