Cochin Island
Cochin has always been one of the striking destinations of India. The tourists are not supposed to be missing the islands, the backwaters, monuments and rich heritage of this truly delightful destination.
Cochin has a natural harbor that has seen the coming together of various cultures and traditions over many centuries via sea.
A little away from the Kochi Marine Drive is the Bolgatty Island Resort. The resort is tucked away nicely among the giant umbrellas of refreshing trees amidst the bustling city. The island has become a major stopover for international yachts and cruise ships. It is adjacent to the Bolgatty Palace and is considered as honeymooners' paradise. The nine-hole golf course around the resort provides an avenue for a game.
Cherai is another wonderful place to visit and is located on Vipin island which forms a part of the Cochin city. Its main attraction is the Cherai beach. The place is also famous for the ancient Cherai Gowreeshwara temple.
Traveling to Cochin is not difficult as the city is well connected by air, rail, sea and road to all major Indian cities and international destinations.
