France recorded a whopping amount of 10 billion euros in terms of their renewable energies in 2011.

The then president of France, Sarkozy set a target of 23 percent in rising up the France’s renewable energy. However, this target was not achieved and the rise was recorded to be 13 percent.

At present, France aims to reach 23 percent by the end of 2020. It has 7,000 MW of onshore wind power.

France came into the sixth rank in the Renewable Energy Expo 2012. It has got 55.2 points in all renewable.

UK

The renewable energy of UK rose by 6.5 percent by 2012. UK also set a new record for its wind power.

Wind farm alone produces 10 percent of the total onshore energy.

UK was placed in the fifth rank in the Renewable Expo 2012. UK’s points are as follows:

All renewables: 55.3, Wind index: 64, Onshore wind: 60, Offshore wind: 79, Solar index: 41, Infrastructure: 6.
