Sri Sri looked at the Ayodhya verdict as an opportunity for people to create a new united India. His message after the verdict read, “I appeal to both the parties not to drive the issue to the Supreme Court. This judgement is fair enough. It has considered Muslim sentiments, it has kept the Hindu faith and sentiments. Crores of Hindus are also happy that the Ram Lalla idol remains where it is. This is the time for reconciliation and coming together. This is one more golden opportunity for both the communities to express their magnanimity, come together in a sense of co-operation and friendship. I appeal to all not to drag this matter further into court again and get into more bitterness. Let us not politicize this issue any further.”
