Amazon: The e-commerce company, which had a humble beginning as an online bookstore has since then expanded into selling software, digital content, apparel, furniture and electronic gadgets.It has started a cloud computing service and produced e-book reader Kindle. With the launch of Kindle Fire, it has entered into the tablet market. The company has launched separate web site for India, China, Japan, Italy and Spain in the recent years. The company with revenue of $ 74.45 billion is known for its commitment towards customer convenience. The company, in turn, enjoys the trust and loyalty of a large pool of patrons. The company is placed 2nd in the list of World’s Most Admirable Companies for the second time.

Google: Last year, Google ranked number 1 in the same list. This year, it has slipped down 2 spots.  But the year gone by witnessed a 22 percent increase in revenue of Google. In January 2014, Google has announced its decision to acquire the London based artificial intelligence company DeepMind. The internet giant, which deals in internet search, productivity software, cloud computing and online advertising has brought in $ 59.82 billion in revenue in 2013. On 19th September 2013, Google announced the launch of a health and wellbeing company, Calico that will deal with aging and associated diseases.
