The company offers public, hybrid and private cloud storage services timed with usage-based pricing and accessible via HTTP, using organizational services such as Nirvanix Web Services API based on Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) protocols or the Nirvanix CloudNAS gateway software. The company was founded in the year 2007 and is said to have a pretty decent cloud storage service.

According to Gartner, Nirvanix is strictly meant for customers who are data intensive and who are in need of massive storage space. The company offers services throughout public, hybrid and on premise storage that are powered by Nirvanix. But still with strict premium support for enterprise customers, Nirvanix cloud storage service is not meant for small and medium sized businesses looking for short term storage.
