Khaagaz Ke Phool: The story reflects on the life of the film director Suresh Sinha. On marrying Bina, he faces a problem where he lacks support with his career in film making. His in laws look at it as a job with little or no social status. His daughter Pammi is taken away from him and sent to a boarding school. He later meets another woman whom he sees  as a potential star and casts her in a role in his movie Devdas. She soon becomes a star and the two begin to get together. They soon become a result of gossip. Pammi gets tormented at school as a consequence. She pleads the woman to move out of her father’s life and let her parents have another chance in repairing their marriage. The movie ends with Shanthi becoming a school teacher and Suresh going into alcohol.
