Boredom is something which Sunita never experienced in space and she tells that whenever she got time she used to watch the earth and stars from the spacecraft window. ‘’The first thought that came to me was that the earth is really round. It's spectacular. Then there is more you can see-the beautiful blue ocean and even the coral blooms within changing colours. It made me wonder about how lucky we are. About what is our purpose in life," she said.
According to Sunita one has to be really confident to be a part of a profession like hers which is male dominated and that too by "white guys". She adds, "You got to be confident. Don't alienate yourself from the team because you are different. I looked at who I am as an opportunity."
