SiliconIndia's Startup of the Week: DelightCircle

“At this point we do not focus on monetizing and generating revenue, we have 75,000 users and 18,000 users who have downloaded the app so far,” says Sahil Singh.

Concept and Competition

“User can collect points for walking into the stores/malls and also for sharing selected offers. At some retailers we offer points for purchase too.  The points can be redeemed for rewards on the app. More than 300+ people have redeemed rewards worth at least 50 INR,” says Ravi Teja.

Apart from simply rewarding with points on just walking into a store, a user is also benefited with points that can be redeemed later on by checking a new arrival through the scanner in the app. DelightCircle has been funded by few angel investors from the U.S and it claims that the USP of their company is that the user gets everything he need for shopping in one place.

Every business would face competition at one point of time and               DelightCircle currently is free and alone in the race. “This is a very early stage and a big market and therefore we expect competition. Currently we don’t have any serious competition. Our plan for the next quarter is to continue executing,” says Yeshwanth Kamra in the interview.

DelightCircle has not done any serious marketing but still the users seem to enjoy the app and its features. It has promoted itself on social media websites and has also made few viral videos to attract people. It records excellent customer engagement with 75 percent active users every month and 45 percent of users using the app every week.
