Chris Pinkham: The Co-Founder Of Nimbula

Chris Pinkham, Willem van Biljon, Nimbula, cloud, Engineering, Amazon.comChris Pinkham and Willem van Biljon co-founded Nimbula, a cloud operating system vendor, in 2008. Pinkham was previously the Vice President of Engineering at Amazon.com and was responsible for global IT infrastructure. He was part of the team that developed the Elastic Compute Cloud at Amazon along with Biljon. Its Nimbula Director allows users to implement IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) style private, public, and hybrid clouds.

The company has raised $5.75 million as part of its series A round from Sequoia Capital and VMWare in 2010. It also secured $15 million from Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners in 2010.
