League of Legends

League of Legends is a multiplayer battle arena from the maker of Riot Games. According to industry-intelligence company Super Data, Riot Game has created $624 million revenue in 2013. League of Legends is the most played PC game in terms of number of hours played, according to Forbes article. In this game, the player is characterized as a ‘summoner’ and acts as the persistent element. The summoner will achieve experience points and influence points for each battle they take part. Experience points lead the summoner to the persistent levels, up to maximum of 30 levels. Players will gain the levels by killing the opposing team’s champions.

Dungeon Fighter Online

This is a multiplayer PC game published by Nexon. Dungeon Fighter Online has generated $426 million revenue in microtransaction sales. The game features 6 base character classes such as Mage, Fighter, Thief, Gunner, Slayer, and Priest. The characters boast two meters such as HP and MP meters. The HP meter decreases while the player gets stuck with the enemies and MP meter decreases upon using a skill, when items can restore either or both at once. Players can move in eight directions using joy pad or arrow keys and can attack or jump using the assigned keys.
