Narayana Health, India's First Healthcare Chain To Set-Up A Hospital In The Western World

Commenting on the launch of Health City at Cayman Islands, Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health said, “Our mission is to make world-class healthcare affordable to all. Health City Cayman Islands is part of that vision and we are looking forward to serve the people of this region. America is a leader in healthcare innovation and technology and any processes and protocols established and proven there are typically well received in rest of the world.” He also added, “We are glad to be associated with Ascension Health Alliance who shares the same vision of making healthcare accessible and affordable to all.”

With healthcare costs spiraling out of control in U.S., Narayana Health’s model of ‘Health City’ will bring down the cost of healthcare making it accessible and affordable thereby attracting large numbers of health seekers from across the region. As part of phase-I, the 104-bed tertiary-care hospital will provide medical services not widely available in the region such as open-heart/bypass surgery, angioplasty, heart-valve replacement, paediatrics and orthopaedics including joint replacements. Spread across 107,000 sq.ft, the hospital is built to the highest safety standards and meets the extreme conditions in the Caribbean region, which has a population of approximately 40 million.
